Putin, Russia and the West

BBC’s 4-part series on “How the great Soviet superpower, crushed and humiliated, has been resurrected in the form of Vladimir Putin’s new Russia.” Series Producer Norma Percy, director Paul Mitchell. A breathtaking documentary, both thumbs up.

The Guardian calls the series “compulsive viewing for all those who want to know what went on inside Russia for the last decade.” This documentary portrays Putin very well without much talking to the former KGB resident. Will he succeed in becoming the first president of Russia for the third term, or will the democratic process finally liberate the great country from Kremlin’s old rule.
